Origin & Impact

Our Story

Founded in 2021 by Jemimah Pam, Gem'inate Kids Foundation was born out of a deep conviction that geography and income should never determine a child's destiny. Witnessing the stark educational disparities in her community, Jemimah mobilized a small group of like-minded volunteers to provide immediate support.

What started as a grassroots effort to distribute books quickly revealed a hunger for learning that far exceeded available resources. Since those early days, the foundation has grown from a local initiative into a structured organization.

"Our early wins, including securing full scholarships for over 50 at-risk children, cemented our belief in the power of collective action."

Today, we continue to expand our reach, driven by the same initial spark: the joy of seeing a child's face light up when they realize their own potential.

What We Stand For

Our Core Values

These values aren't aspirational; they're operational. They govern how we design, deliver, and report on every initiative.

Accountability

We own our outcomes, good and bad, and report them transparently to all stakeholders.

Integrity

We do what we say. Every commitment made to a child, a donor, or a partner is kept.

Equity

We center the children most often left out of the room: geographically, economically, socially.

Measurable Impact

Programs without evidence are just activities. We measure rigorously and share the results.

Community Partnership

We do not work on communities; we work with them, building local ownership at every stage.

How We're Structured

Governance

Gem'inate Kids Foundation operates under a clear governance structure designed for accountability, strategic oversight, and operational effectiveness.

Board of Trustees

Provides strategic oversight, fiduciary responsibility, and institutional accountability. Reviews and approves annual budgets, program strategy, and organizational policy.

Executive Director

Leads day-to-day operations, program design, donor relations, and team management. Reports directly to the Board of Trustees.

Program & M&E Teams

Implement and monitor all active initiatives. Responsible for data collection, facilitation quality, and reporting against program targets.

Growth Outlook

Our 3-year plan is deliberate, staged, and grounded in evidence, not ambition alone.

Year 1

Stabilize Yola Hub

Complete the first full 39-week Learning Hub cycle. Publish endline results. Refine facilitation model. Establish baseline for expansion.

Year 2

Expand to Second Location

Replicate the Learning Hub in a second underserved community, applying Year 1 evidence to improve program design and outcomes.

Year 3

Multi-Site Expansion

Operate in three or more sites simultaneously. Introduce a training-of-trainers model to build local facilitator capacity and reduce dependency.

Who We Are

Leadership

Our small, passionate team combines education specialists and community leaders working tirelessly to build a brighter future for every child.
